Bad Day
Goodness, how
time flies. It seems that as I'm barely over the holiday heartburn, the
VDM's (Valentine's Day Maniacs, for the layperson) have already been at it,
making everything into pretty little pink hearts and displaying them for the
world to see. If only they made Pepto-Bismol heart-shaped. That
would be quite the feat. Of course, then I'd have to boycott that
wonderful product which makes swallowing the crap this time of year so much
easier.
But that's not what I'm going to complain about tonight. In fact, I'm not
going to complain at all. (Yes, the world is ending, and you should make
things right with yourself, your loved ones, and God very, very soon.)
Tonight I actually just want to share a piece of writing I did a few weeks back.
See, sometimes we have those days where that one thing happens that you never,
ever dreamt was going to happen, whether bad or good, but bang!--it suddenly
happens and you're left dealing with it. I've had one of those days.
I believe how we react in these situations shows us for who we truly are.
And I react by posting the following rambling. Take it however you want;
I'm sure you'll come up with something really good.
tell
yourself what you want
the lies that keep you smiling
everyone knows the truth
the truth is you've sugar-coated your world
...and the world tastes horrible with sugar
